This position performs advanced-level work under the limited supervision of the Educational Program Director-DOE, Office of Instructional Materials and Library Media section in the Bureau of Standards and Instructional Support, Division of Public Schools. This position is responsible for the coordination of one or more state adoption cycles and works within the bureau regarding state adoption cycles, tracks reports, plans and certifications of district compliance, provides technical assistance to publishers of instructional materials and districts, and assists with planning, coordinating and facilitating the training of state expert reviewers of instructional materials bid for adoption and state-wide professional learning. The incumbent must interact courteously with others. Attendance is an essential function. Organizational skills and the ability to multitask are key to completing the duties and responsibilities of this position. Since this position travels and presents at conferences as well as provides training on a needed basis, the prospective applicant needs to be able to travel and is comfortable presenting to people and training new staff.
