About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a Process Standardization Manager (PSM) in support of the Quality Program team. As a Quality Standardization Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards and processes across the manufacturing organization. You will ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements, and that quality is consistently delivered throughout the production process, across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, minimum 5 years of experience in a quality or manufacturing environment, and certification in a quality management system Note: This position is on the 3-2-1 Hybrid work schedule. We prefer the Quality Standardization Manager to be located within a reasonable commuting distance to a Platforms & Services site.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Technology, or a related field, plus ten years of experience in Quality Assurance or Program Quality in aerospace, defense, or heavy vehicle manufacturing, or the overall equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, MIL-STD, AS9100D, ISO 9001, and DCMA/DoW quality expectations
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis tools (5-Why, Fishbone, 8D), FMEA, control plans
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and MES/ERP platforms (Oracle, SAP, Plex, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Proven leadership in managing quality across large, multi-functional teams
  • ASQ certification: CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • PMP certification
  • Working knowledge of ITAR, CMMC, and cybersecurity requirements
  • Understanding of Cost of Quality (CoQ) modeling and tracking
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Definition (MBD) and Digital Thread concepts
