About The Position

The Arizona Department of Agriculture is recruiting for a Program Project Specialist 2 for our Central Licensing Department. The position is located at 1010 W. Washington Street and is not a remote position. Under general direction of the Deputy Director, provide technical guidance and administrative expertise to Central Licensing staff. Coordinate the design, development, implementation and evaluation of a variety of licensing programs. Provide technical support and training to Central Licensing staff and stakeholders. Represent the agency with stakeholder groups and advisory councils.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of laws, regulations, and trends related to Arizona agricultural licensing; Local, state, and federal programs and resources related to agricultural licensing.

  • Technical and business writing.

  • Developing metrics, flow boards, and other visual management tools

Responsibilities

  • Cooperate with agency staff, community organizations, and stakeholders in the design, development, modification, and implementation of licensing projects and programs. Evaluate program feasibility and goals, make recommendations to agency leadership, and implement program improvements. Communicate with customers and stakeholders to gain input and feedback on program goals, objectives, accountability, and delivery of services.
  • Provide direct management and supervision of one or more Central Licensing team members.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures, plans, and manuals. Develop materials and conduct orientation, onboarding, and training of licensing staff.
  • Develop effective monitoring and evaluation procedures for new and ongoing programs to assure program conformance and integrity. Monitor program compliance to regulatory and auditing standards and lead periodic program audits. Conduct and compile research, statistics, and prepare technical and administrative reports for the licensing program. Develop and maintain metrics, standards, and visual management tools to monitor program effectiveness.
  • Coordinate the development of technical guidance for the website and other publication materials. Develop and update program forms. Provide technical training, guidance, and assistance to customers and stakeholders.
  • Represent the agency at program advisory councils, meetings with other agencies, and other stakeholder groups.
  • Coordinate fulfillment of licensing public records requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.
