About The Position

The Global Operations Group brings information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing together to drive the engine of our global business operations. We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam's business. The Tualatin Pilot Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible for leading tool‑type–level manufacturing programs within a high‑tech R&D manufacturing environment. This role coordinates BEN‑level project timelines, resources, and execution plans to meet Lam’s safety, quality, production, and organizational objectives. Project Managers are expected to proactively identify and mitigate risks, enable efficient factory execution, and model Lam’s core values through professional conduct and cross‑functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or Master’s degree with 6+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of related experience in project management or program management
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
  • Analytical skills to interpret and utilize data for decision support.

Nice To Haves

  • Semiconductor industry or global supplier experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or PRINCE2.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Forecasting
  • Develop and maintain executable manufacturing plans for modules launched in Pilot Manufacturing.
  • Forecast router length, build hours, and resource requirements using historical data.
  • Identify risks early, define mitigation plans, and communicate impacts to Management and Order Fulfillment.
  • Ensure the accuracy of digital planning tools (e.g., Gantt charts, systems of record).
  • Serve as the source of record for capacity and resource requirements.
  • Launch Readiness
  • Own on‑time module launch execution aligned to defined launch milestones.
  • Ensure upcoming modules are preloaded into systems of record.
  • Coordinate initial release of critical‑path components and confirm factory readiness.
  • Support release‑to‑manufacturing decisions through data‑driven readiness inputs.
  • Work in Progress (WIP) Execution
  • Drive plans to achieve key milestones (Integration, Test Start, MCD).
  • Rapidly respond to and escalate issues impacting module progress, including material shortages and engineering changes.
  • Coordinate across functions to resolve risks, align mitigations, and hold owners accountable.
  • Facilitate non‑Pilot personnel work within Pilot Manufacturing as required.
  • Support material availability and issuance in partnership with Planning.
  • Program Sustainment & Transition
  • Provide feedback to improve manufacturing processes and operational policies.
  • Serve as the Pilot Manufacturing point of contact for cross‑functional team meetings and program development activities.
  • Partner with Engineering to ensure transition build deliverables are met in Manufacturing and Test.
  • Maintain ongoing risk assessment and escalation for slotted record changes, OBCs, and transition milestones.
