About The Position

As Project Manager at Lam, you will play a pivotal role in driving projects/programs for Global Supply Chain Management's Technology Commodity team. You’ll be at the forefront of project initiation through delivery, using your expertise to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure project are completed on time and within budget. In this role, you will directly contribute to smooth rollout of Lam’s New Product Integration (NPI) supply chain programs and projects by delivering strategic directions on resource alignment, prioritizing strategies, managing project progress and performance, and handling stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field with 8 years of related experience; or 6 years with a Master's degree; or 3 years experience with a Ph.D.
  • Five years of related experience in project management or program management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, Agile, Tolerant of Ambiguity, Self-Driven

Nice To Haves

  • Semiconductor industry or global supplier experience
  • Experience in interfacing with or managing relationships with external suppliers
  • Technical acumen or interest in technology that enables productive relationships with technical design teams
  • Knowledge of the process steps involved in the production of complex subassemblies or complex metal machining
  • Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or PRINCE2

Responsibilities

  • Execute the strategy developed by commodity leads, gaining alignment, motivating and engaging both internal and external stakeholders to fulfill the project objectives
  • Drive cross-functional projects and recurring activities to ensure the successful transition of alternative material qualifications and implementations
  • Manage the transfer of complex semiconductor WFE components from prototype status to production status by interfacing with technical design teams, production readiness teams, and suppliers
  • Manage Lam expectations through an intimate knowledge of supplier processes and assisting design teams through knowledge of supplier capabilities and limitations
  • Assess project risks and driving mitigation activities
  • Manage project-specific supply chain readiness and communicating status
  • Build rapport and collaborative relationship with assigned suppliers to ensure accountability system is in place, operating model meets the needs of both organizations and NPI capability roadmaps are aligned
  • Operate across boundaries and prioritizing the activities of the organization to achieve best-in class results
  • Develop and present meaningful and impactful messages to a wide array of internal and external audiences
  • Monitor work from project initiation through completion, providing support and direction, and escalating issues until resolved or mitigated
