Our Space division in East Aurora, NY is looking for a Program Planning Manager to join our dynamic team! This Program Planning Manager sits within our Fluid Controls Group and reports to the Supply Chain & Materials Manager. This person will be primarily responsible for leading a team of planners, as well as long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues and production decisions in support of business execution of new and existing programs/initiatives. As our Program Planning Manager, you will make critical contributions by holding responsibility for: Process Management and Strategic Initiative Execution: This includes (but is not limited to) the following areas: Lean Infrastructure and Standard Work Development within Supply Chain Inventory Control Plans Program Status Reporting and Risk Assessments Operations Execution Planning Capacity Planning Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) – Supply Bid & Proposal Support Continuous Improvement Leadership: Lead, motivate, develop, and direct the Planning Team in achieving objectives. Personnel Development: Ensure the advancement of technical knowledge & soft skills within the planning team. Provide employee and team performance feedback. Assist in planning for and developing the skill base and knowledge necessary to build a broadly flexible workforce. Moxie: Deal with multiple complex issues of varying degrees of difficulty simultaneously while maintaining a positive outlook. Creative and resourceful in resolving problems and effectively uses influence and persuasion to engage others in support of accomplishing goals.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related area and 5 years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment ~OR~ An Associate's degree and 9 years of relevant experience.
  • ~PLUS~ 3 years’ experience acting in a leadership capacity
  • Experience implementing and managing lean infrastructure and continuous improvement activities
  • Ability to manage significant change within your team

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree such as an MBA
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Experience planning in the Aerospace Industry
  • Familiarity with PowerBI, SQL, Access databases, and data analysis
  • Proven track record delivering process improvement results
