About The Position

We are seeking a temporary, part-time Program Officer to join FoundationCCC in its mission of benefiting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation. What You’ll Do The California Education Learning Laboratory (Learning Lab) is a state-funded public higher education grant program designed to improve learning outcomes and close equity gaps in STEM and other disciplines. Learning Lab seeks to fund innovative, intersegmental, faculty-led projects that leverage technology tools and the science of human learning to foster student success. Learning Lab is administered by the Foundation for California Community Colleges. Requirements

  • Understanding of higher education systems, policies, research, and innovation in California
  • Knowledge of workforce development, policy related to regional economic development, and navigation of state agency administrative processes.
  • Experience developing funding opportunities and translating grantmaking goals for UC, CSU and California Community Colleges

Responsibilities

  • New RFP Development (15-20%): Conduct research and interviews, serve as the primary point of contact, and inform Learning Lab of requirements and requests for communications.
  • Outreach and Communications (15-25%): Collaborate with funding sponsor/agency and Learning Lab staff to manage strategic outreach and communications, draft funding opportunity materials and notices, and conduct webinars and office hours to promote applicant engagement
  • RFP Oversight and Programmatic Alignment (40-55%): Responsible for overseeing the entire RFP process, working with Learning Lab staff to access/utilize digital apps and tracking systems, developing and disseminating reports, presenting RFP updates, and supporting the grantee onboarding
