The Program Manager ensures manufacturing projects, programs, and activities are managed effectively and align with the broader objectives of the business. Collects, analyzes, and monitors manufacturing and production data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and implement improvements to processes, workflows, or methods. Facilitates communication and collaboration between various functions including design, procurement, and quality assurance to ensure actions and goals are aligned. Coordinates vendors and suppliers to support program activities and ensures cost, quality, and availability meet customer specifications and schedules. Acts as the primary customer contact for quotations, cost and contract questions, and program issues or changes in requirements. May provide technical support at customer facilities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Work is occasionally directed, but generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. May provide training, guidance, and delegate tasks to other team members. Typically requires 2-4 years of directly related experience.
