About The Position

As the Program Manager – Corporate Systems, you will report to the Director of Corporate Systems and initiate, plan, execute, and control programs and projects involving multiple people, process, data, and technology components. This is a highly visible role where you will work across the organization to align and execute on requirements and deliverables to drive strategic and tactical goals of our stakeholders. You will drive, measure, and be accountable for both short- and long-term program and project outcomes, ensuring delivery of meaningful value to our clients and to H&R Block. Day to day, you’ll… Strategy, Planning & Alignment Own the end-to-end delivery strategy for a portfolio of Corporate Systems programs and projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy, business priorities, and stakeholder outcomes across functions such as P&C, Finance, Customer Care, and Corporate teams. Translate strategic and tactical objectives into clear, executable programs, enabling manager-owned roadmaps, sequencing initiatives to maximize value while managing interdependencies across people, process, data, and technology. Partner closely with business, technology, and vendor leaders to ensure every “next dollar invested” delivers the best possible return, balancing near-term delivery with long-term platform health and scalability. Anticipate and proactively manage delivery and operational risks, performing root-cause analysis and driving mitigation strategies to protect business outcomes and continuity. Program & Delivery Execution Drive cross-functional delivery of complex Corporate Systems initiatives spanning Contact Center platforms, knowledge and casemanagement modernization, Intranet, CRM rationalization, and other enterprise priorities. Establish and lead program governance, providing clear visibility into progress, timelines, budgets, risks, and issues while ensuring alignment with agreedupon outcomes. Orchestrate execution across internal teams and external vendors, actively managing dependencies, integrations, and risks across multiple platforms and workstreams. Ensure consistent ontime and onbudget delivery, holding teams accountable while removing obstacles and enabling high performance. Change, Adoption & Stakeholder Engagement Lead change management and adoption planning to ensure solutions are successfully embedded into daytoday operations across multiple stakeholder groups. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, clearly communicating progress, tradeoffs, risks, and outcomes while aligning expectations across the organization. Drive shared understanding of program goals, impacts, and success measures so stakeholders are prepared to realize intended business and operational benefits. Insights, Measurement & Value Realization Define, track, and report on program success metrics, including delivery performance, financial outcomes, and realized business value. Initiate and gain agreement on soft and hard benefits (both Business and IT), ensuring value realization plans are in place while operational risk is appropriately mitigated. Financial & Budget Management Create and manage program and project budgets with accuracy and transparency.

Requirements

  • 8 years total experience
  • BS/BA or equivalent through a combination of education and experience
  • Thought leadership by staying up to date of new technologies, customer trends and expectations, and competitive insights
  • Experience with contact center technologies, processes, and measures along with how they drive client experience
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, along with experience working and leading in a cross-functional environment
  • The ability to think strategically and tactically with a persistent problem-solving mentality
