About The Position

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Program Manager to support Headquarters United States Air Force (HAF/A10) in providing Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration. This effort delivers technical, analytical, operational, programmatic, and planning subject-matter expertise to HAF/A10 and its component divisions to advance national security strategic plans, policies, concepts, and initiatives. Support areas include international treaties and agreements, the Foreign Clearance Program, Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction, nuclear stockpile and enterprise management, missile defense, nuclear deterrence research and education, strategic policy, ancillary IT support, and program management. This is a full-time position, located on-site at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
  • Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain TS/SCI level clearance
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Years of Experience: Twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, including five (5) years of DoD experience
  • Experience planning, directing, and managing complex projects of similar size and scope
  • Experience managing employees across various labor categories
  • Experience working with USAF and/or DoD leadership
  • Experience identifying user requirements and translating them into project plans

Nice To Haves

  • Education: Master's degree
  • Years of Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, including five (5) years of DoD experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Government’s primary point of contact and senior on-site representative for the prime Contractor
  • Provide overall leadership, direction, and guidance for all Contractor personnel and activities
  • Be an employee of the prime Contractor with ultimate responsibility for contract quality, efficiency, technical performance, and business processes
  • Assign tasks, supervise ongoing technical efforts, and manage overall contract performance and deliverables
  • Possess authority to commit the Contractor’s organization and make decisions in response to Government issues, concerns, and comments
  • Be readily available to respond to Government questions and concerns in a timely manner
  • Proactively identify and alert the Government to potential contractual or programmatic issues and recommend corrective actions
