Job Title: Program Manager Reporting To: Management, General Management Work Schedule: Onsite – Huntsville, AL Moog Space and Defense Group is projecting significant growth driven by high levels of U.S. Department of War growth. The Huntsville, AL Hypersonic Vehicle Systems (HVS) Team supplies a variety of complex integrated guidance, navigation, and control (iGNC) systems hypersonic vehicles. We are searching for a Program Manager to work on site at our Huntsville, Alabama location. This person will be an agile and motivated individual to facilitate strong program execution and performance in a dynamic technical environment. Experience working directly with, or in, a military branch of service with an existing security clearance, or the ability to obtain one, is desired. As a Program Manager, you will: Act as the main point of contact for all program activities from the proposal phase through hardware and software deliveries. Develop close relationships with local customers and industry partners to identify new business opportunities. Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements through coordination and management of program activities. Facilitate program review meetings, status updates, functional communication, and financial results of each program to customers and internal leadership. Work with various functional groups such as supply chain, finance, engineering, and operations from multiple locations. Maintain and encourage collaboration between various functional groups to complete on-time performance and quality on all contracts. Manage all technical and financial contractual commitments. Build delivery schedules, program milestones, and identify early risks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a BS Degree in Business, Engineering, or related technical area.
  • 5 years of program management related experience out of highly engineered manufacturing environments.
  • Applicants transitioning from the military, leadership experience in operations, logistics, acquisition, or program management may be considered in lieu of direct industry experience.
  • Experience with business development, capture, or LRIP programs.
  • Proven ability to accurately forecast and create program execution plans.
  • Experience leading a cross-functional team managing budgets, technical requirements, plans, and delivery schedules.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace and Defense industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in contractual requirements and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) is preferred.
  • A background and knowledge in hypersonic vehicles is preferred.
