This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station. The FCRP Program Manager serves as a senior member of the leadership team and reports directly to the FCRP Director. This position provides strategic and operational oversight to ensure the successful implementation of program goals, contractual obligations, and training initiatives. The Program Manager plays a central role in translating the program’s vision into actionable work plans, guiding projects from development through completion while maintaining accountability for quality, timeliness, and fiscal integrity. In this role, the Program Manager provides leadership in the development, negotiation, and monitoring of contracts and interagency agreements. This includes drafting scopes of work, establishing deliverables and timelines, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and monitoring contract performance to ensure all obligations are met. The Program Manager is responsible for tracking progress toward deliverables, identifying risks, and implementing corrective strategies when necessary. A major component of the position involves oversight of training development and delivery. The Program Manager works closely with the Lead Training Specialist to guide curriculum design, ensure content quality and alignment with best practice. The Program Manager also collaborates with the Learning Systems Team Manager to ensure coordination between the content and technical teams. In partnership with the Business Officer, the Program Manager monitors budgets, oversees invoicing, and ensures fiscal processes are accurate, timely, and compliant with funding requirements. The Program Manager ensures that internal systems, communication processes, and project management structures support effective and efficient program operations. Responsibilities include overseeing marketing efforts, contributing to strategic communications, and preparing reports for funders and stakeholders. The Program Manager also monitors full-time equivalent ( FTE ) allocations, manages workload distribution across team members, and ensures that staffing levels align with contractual commitments and organizational priorities. The Program Manager leads the project management team, establishing clear expectations, timelines, and accountability measures across initiatives. This role includes direct supervision of SHRA , EHRA NF, and temporary staff. The Program Manager provides guidance, manages performance feedback, and offers professional development support. The Program Manager fosters a collaborative team culture, promotes data-informed decision-making, and ensures that research, evaluation, and training activities are integrated to strengthen overall program impact. Overall, the FCRP Program Manager ensures that program operations, training initiatives, contractual commitments, and staff efforts are aligned, coordinated, and executed with excellence in support of the program’s mission and strategic goals
