About The Position

The Program Manager supports the execution and coordination of assigned programs to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, cost, and compliance requirements. This role assists in cross-functional program activities and provides structured tracking, reporting, and issue management support. Operating in a contract-driven and regulated environment, the Program Manager works under the direction of senior program leadership to ensure disciplined execution, accurate documentation, and timely communication across stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field required
  • 5 years professional experience.
  • 1-2 years of professional experience directly in program support of a defense contract
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Basic financial literacy and ability to interpret budgets and schedules
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • High accountability and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing assigned program activities from award through execution and closeout.
  • Support proposal planning activities, including schedule development, task tracking, and coordination across functional teams.
  • Support development and maintenance of program schedules, trackers, and status reports.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables are completed on time.
  • Track action items, milestones, and key program metrics.
  • Support proposal planning and execution, including development of schedules, coordination of cross-functional inputs, and tracking of tasks to ensure timely, compliant submissions.
  • Coordinate development of key proposal artifacts (management plans, schedules, risk registers, compliance matrices, and transition plans) aligned with customer requirements and solicitation instructions.
  • Support cost volume development by gathering program assumptions, basis of estimates, and supporting documentation.
  • Support identification of risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies during capture and proposal phases.
  • Support budget tracking and cost monitoring activities.
  • Assist with forecasting inputs and variance reporting.
  • Coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate documentation and reporting alignment.
  • Maintain organized program documentation and records.
  • Assist in ensuring adherence to contractual requirements and internal processes.
  • Support change management documentation and administrative processes.
  • Maintain compliance records and audit-ready documentation.
  • Escalate compliance concerns or risks to senior program leadership.
  • Maintain risk registers and issue logs under supervision.
  • Support development of mitigation plans and corrective action tracking.
  • Assist in root cause documentation for minor performance deviations.
  • Prepare program status updates and reporting materials.
  • Participate in internal and external program meetings.
  • Support customer communications under direction of senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Safety, Quality, and Finance to gather updates and support execution.
  • Assist in transition activities from proposal to execution phases.
