We are seeking a senior Program Manager to develop and lead the business operating system for our entire Ground Support Equipment (GSE) portfolio. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration by creating the programmatic framework that ensures the timely and efficient delivery of all ground hardware—from design to deployment—required to meet our high-cadence operational tempo. As the architect of our GSE program, you will be responsible for institutionalizing the processes, tools, and rhythms that govern how we manage scope, cost, and schedule across multitudes of simultaneous hardware projects. You will be held accountable for the health and performance of the entire GSE value stream, driving organizational-level efficiency and predictability. This is a leadership role focused on building a robust, scalable system for success. The permanent location of this position is Merritt Island, Florida.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a B.S./B.A. degree in engineering, program management, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing or production environment.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and managing programmatic frameworks, including budget management, integrated master scheduling, risk management, and performance reporting across a portfolio of projects.
  • Experience managing new product introduction and the transition from development to production at a systemic level.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence multifunctional teams in a matrix environment to adopt new processes and systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including expertise in leveraging JIRA, enterprise scheduling tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite for program management.
  • Project Management certification (PMP) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in an engineering discipline or an MBA.
  • Direct experience architecting and deploying a program management or business operating system in a technical hardware environment.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software (e.g., Windchill) and its integration into a programmatic framework.
  • Expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) and its practical application to a hardware portfolio.
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100.
  • Deep understanding of Lean principles and experience applying them to improve an entire value stream.
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex programmatic information and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the programmatic framework and business operating system for the entire GSE lifecycle, from requirements definition through commissioning.
  • Establish and lead the business operating rhythm for the GSE program, including portfolio-level reviews of cost, schedule, risk, and technical performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for the collective health of the entire GSE hardware portfolio, providing strategic guidance and intervention to ensure program objectives are met.
  • Drive the standardization of tools (JIRA, scheduling software, etc.), processes, and key performance indicators (KPIs) across all GSE projects to improve predictability and data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead long-range planning and resource allocation for the GSE organization in partnership with engineering, manufacturing, and finance leadership.
  • Identify systemic risks and bottlenecks within the GSE value stream and lead cross-functional initiatives to implement lasting solutions.
  • Provide consolidated, executive-level reporting on the status, challenges, and forward-looking outlook of the GSE program.
