YouTube | X | Instagram | LinkedIn | News Carbon Robotics is seeking a Manufacturing Program Manager to support planning and execution for Carbon’s production manufacturing team. This role is responsible for orienting cross-functional teams and driving the successful, high-quality shipment of Carbon hardware products. You will build right-sized processes and documentation to ensure end-to-end execution of manufacturing deliverables. You will coordinate the introduction of new manufacturing programs and drive continuous improvement across existing programs to enhance lifecycle execution efficiency and evolve operational maturity. This role requires exceptional collaboration, pragmatic project tracking, strong problem-solving capability, sound technical judgment, program management expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of program management experience in manufacturing or hardware environments
  • Experience supporting production manufacturing and/or hardware NPI
  • Strong project planning, risk management, and documentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and operate independently
  • Experience with BOM management using MFG systems (experience with Arena PLM, Tulip, NetSuite a plus)
  • Up to 30% travel seasonally may be required, domestic and international
  • Onsite presence in Richland, WA

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end manufacturing program execution from planning through shipment
  • Coordinate new product introductions (NPI) into production manufacturing
  • Drive delivery against quality, schedule, and cost targets
  • Maintain clear program plans, risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies
  • Develop and implement right-sized manufacturing program processes and documentation
  • Establish scalable workflows and best practices for lifecycle execution
  • Track tactical, operational, and strategic performance metrics and drive data-informed decision making across programs
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Tracks post ship issues and ensure quality improvements make it on to the production line
  • Work closely with functional and technical subject matter experts to resolve day-to-day production challenges
  • Facilitate and ensure alignment across engineering, supply chain, operations and production teams while maintaining transparency and accountability
  • Lead program reviews and communicate status to leadership stakeholders
  • Anticipate risks early and develop mitigation strategies
  • Make informed decisions based on tradeoff decisions across quality, cost & schedule under pressure
  • Maintain composure in fast-paced technical environments
  • Balance immediate operational needs with long-term strategic goals
