About The Position

The Program Manager, RFPs & Adoptions will oversee the end-to-end execution of state and district curriculum adoption programs and formal RFP responses. This role is critical for coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring all adoption requirements are met, and driving operational readiness across content, product, sales, and customer success teams. You will track timelines, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks while acting as the central point of contact for adoption initiatives. The position requires a highly organized, strategic thinker who can operate in a fast-paced environment and adapt plans as priorities evolve. By ensuring efficient and successful adoption processes, you will help shape the impact of high-quality educational materials across diverse school communities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience in complex, cross-functional environments; PMP certification preferred
  • Proven ability to manage complex timelines with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple parallel workstreams and long-range timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adjusting plans as requirements evolve
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently
  • High level of discretion and reliability in handling confidential material

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in K–12 education, instructional materials, edtech, public-sector procurement, state curriculum adoption processes, operational systems development, or standards alignment

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of state and district adoptions and RFP submissions, from initial signal to post-submission follow-up
  • Collaborate with Curriculum, Product, Content Operations, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure adoption readiness
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve standardized processes for adoption tracking, RFP responses, and submission workflows
  • Identify and proactively manage risks, gaps, or dependencies related to standards alignment, content coverage, platform capabilities, pricing, translations, or implementation requirements
  • Serve as the internal source of truth and primary communicator for adoption and RFP status across teams
