About The Position

The Program Manager II (PMs), Payment Services works to optimize efficiencies throughout Payment Services. Specifically, the Program Manager II will lead a variety of initiatives (several concurrently) and advise in the design and implementation of process improvements to accelerate long-term success and growth related to projects, ongoing analytical analysis, reporting and core system relationship management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred or the equivalent of two years of relevant experience
  • Four years of experience in financial services or comparable experience in other fields of like complexity is required
  • At least three years' experience in program or project management is required
  • At least two years' experience in Vendor management collaboration and experience is preferred
  • Broad knowledge of Lean Practitioner or Six Sigma
  • Ability to anticipate needs and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high-volume peaks while producing high-quality work
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Certification/License: Program & Process Management Focus
  • Relevant certifications are preferred, with at least one required. Certifications include but are not limited to:
  • ACH Network Certificate
  • Faster Payments Professional Certificate
  • National Check Professional (NCP)
  • Certificate in Principles of Payments (CertPAY)
  • Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM)
  • Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert (CUERME)
  • Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP)

Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous and finite divisional initiatives supporting departmental and company objectives for a variety of purposes including process improvements for quality growth, soundness, and cultivating increased operational optimization and risk management
  • Execute project management functions for multi-functional areas including gathering requirements, scope definition, project plan design, stakeholder collaboration, communication, and final project implementation
  • Lead and manage complex systems, related projects and business relationships for the organizations' payments systems supporting critical payments activities related to ACH, wires, Zelle P2P, check processing, deposit processing (Vendors/Systems may include, but not limited to: Federal Reserve Bank, GFX/Finastra Ensenta, Zelle, PNC Bank, Northwest Bank Technology, Us Bank)
  • Analyze the effectiveness of core payments systems, operational programs and lead activities related to recommended process improvements, addresses inefficiencies, and work collaboratively with leaders to optimize processes
  • Act as expert liaison between credit union business subject matter experts and vendor support representatives to facilitate tickets, cases, expectations, escalations, adherence to SLAs and agreed upon timelines
  • Provide cross-functional and divisional support to ensure operational readiness in conducting process mapping to uncover inefficiencies, writing, and updating procedures as well as facilitating upgrades and user acceptance testing
