The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for the North Carolina Firefighters’ Cancer Insurance Program within the Office of State Fire Marshal. This position assists with processing claims and verifying documentation to ensure eligible firefighters and their families receive timely and accurate benefits as provided under state law. The position manages the program operations by maintaining accurate records, preparing correspondence, and assisting with the implementation of procedures in accordance with statutory requirements. The position oversees contact with fire departments, firefighters, and other stakeholders to provide clear and courteous communication regarding program information and status updates. This role assists with tracking program metrics and compiling data reports to support program evaluation and continuous improvement, contributing to the effective delivery of benefits and the well-being of North Carolina’s firefighters and their families.
