About The Position

Hopelink provides vital resources to people experiencing financial and housing instability in our community. The Program Manager for Housing & Case Management provides supervision and support to case managers navigating complexities that clients who have lived through the trauma of homelessness and poverty face. This position oversees the daily operations of the housing and case management programs; and ensures the implementation of strength-based, trauma-informed case management processes grounded in best practices and equitable approaches.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of direct supervision and experience in community services including: case management, program management, contract compliance; and any combination of education and experience which provides that applicant with the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the work.
  • Knowledge of homeless housing programs, supportive housing, and best practices in case management; Solid knowledge of the King County homelessness system is a plus.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with clients and their families, fellow employees, managers, community groups and the general public.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and effective decision-making skills to accomplish goals and creatively problem-solve issues.
  • Computer skills required (Word, Excel, Internet). Office 365 and Teams, zoom, SharePoint, databases.
  • Fosters creative strategies and interventions to support clients at risk of losing their housing.
  • Reliable personal transportation, a valid driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance required.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, trains, and develops Hopelink case management staff —producing a highly collaborative and effective team.
  • Supports scheduling as Case Managers are assigned to support one or more Hopelink sites based on client and organizational needs.
  • Plans, organizes, coordinates, assigns and evaluates work of case managers; provides training as needed; prioritizes activities and establishes performance objectives that are aligned with agency initiatives and departmental tactical plans.
  • Provides supervision and support through weekly check-ins to discuss client needs, develop creative solutions to clients' situations, and provides personal development opportunities
  • Ensure all case managers maintain appropriate caseloads by managing program recruitment activities for program enrollment.
  • Supports case management staff in fostering an environment of continual learning grounded in team and client engagement and identifying and implementing best practices.
  • Facilitate regularly scheduled team meetings.
  • Provides leadership in de-escalation and appropriate intervention in emergencies/crises.
  • Offers backup case management of clients when case managers are on vacation or out of the office.
