About The Position

Amazon Engineering Services is looking for a Program Manager that can provide capital planning and project management support directly contributing to growing Amazon’s Worldwide Operations network. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for supporting multiple Business Units, including support for new buildings, expansions, retrofits and new technology initiatives. Requirements

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
  • Experience in MS Access and SQL
  • Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support one or multiple of Amazon’s business units: Global Customer Fulfillment, Global Air Program, Global Transportation, Amazon Logistics, and Sort Center Network.
  • Ensure adequate project funding is secured enabling on time and under budget project execution.
  • Partner with internal Amazon teams and build processes and tools to enable scalable and flexible operations.
  • Partner and contribute across all functions within Engineering Services, Program Management Office, Supply Chain Capacity, Startup, Launch, Real Estate, Construction, Operations Engineering, and Procurement
  • Manage Funding Milestones and approval timelines
  • Partner closely with downstream partners to ensure funding for a program is delivered on-time and with a high quality driving minimal defects to project deployment and execution
