About The Position

Requirements

Must have a current DoD Secret clearance, with a background investigation completed within the past five years
Experience with US DoD subcontract management.
Demonstrated leadership and management of critical, major subcontracts within a US DoD environment.
Demonstrated leadership of procurement professionals.
Strong interpersonal skills and Demonstrated communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Demonstrated ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters which often requires coordination between functional organizations
Experience with the procurement of specialized materials, complex assemblies, and equipment within Defense or Aerospace industries
Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures such as Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP), with associated knowledge of FAR /
DFAR requirements
Demonstrated negotiation skills
Working knowledge of standard contract types Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Team oriented with demonstrated organizational skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Business acumen and ability to make business-
based decisions
Self-motivated, ownership of tasks and accountable
Able to work independently and in a team environment and work with all levels of management
Able to travel

Responsibilities

Directing a team of subcontract, cost and performance targets.
Acting as the primary liaison between program leadership, senior suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Monitoring and reporting technical performance of procured hardware and systems.
Managing supplier production plans, delivery milestones and budget health.
Ensuring all subcontract work meets or exceeds affordability requirements.
Leading risk identification, mitigation and escalation processes.
Supporting the established Supplier Management Team (SMT) framework and continuous improvement initiatives.
Representing the program in occasional travel to supplier sites and customer facilities.
