This position of PGNES (Precision Guided & Naval Electronic Systems) Senior Program Manager reports to the Close Combat Systems (CCS) VP within the Tactical Missiles (TM) line of business of Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). The areas of responsibility includes Program Management and team leadership for all Navy Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) and Precision Guided Systems (PGS). As the Program Management Sr Manager you will be responsible for leading the PGNES program, guiding cross functional staff, and ensuring successful delivery of Navy instrumentation, controls, and precision guided systems. Your responsibilities will include: Oversight of the PGNES Program Management staff, significant management-level interaction with the Navy Nuclear primary customer Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) , and overall program performance (cost, schedule, and technical). A working knowledge of digital and analog systems, mechanical and software/firmware design is necessary for program oversight and customer stakeholder interaction. Working knowledge of development and production programs across several navy platforms as well as logistics support. A strong Program Management background is required to provide staff guidance and development, management oversight, early detection of adverse conditions, and suggestions for necessary course corrections. Excellent written and oral communication, as well as presentation skills are required for success. Business development, business capture, and managing customer relationships and expectations are also significant aspects of the position. The PGNES lead is also the site advocate for all program needs , activities, and resources at Archbald site. This role ensures product area objectives are met. This role also involves responsibilities interfacing with TSM/CCS leadership, functional management and various staff member contacts located outside Archbald. This contact includes supporting strategy development, resource coordination, alignment with LOB and PGNES objectives, support of business Long Range Planning (LRP), and preparation/delivery of associated management presentations and reports. Skills required for these responsibilities include effective communication and presentation skills, relationship building (functions and individuals outside Archbald), and general business acumen. Leading and managing with a minimal oversight and direction is required.
