About The Position

Lead development and execution of R&D Strategic and Annual Operating Plans (AOP) Establish and oversee governance frameworks supporting investment prioritization, decision-making, and performance accountability Partner with R&D, Finance, and business leaders on portfolio health reviews, investment trade-offs, and planning cycles Provide executive-level visibility into portfolio performance, resource allocation, and value realization Champion program management functional excellence, capability development, and leadership growth Build a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and execution excellence Oversee training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing initiatives Identify and implement enhancements to PMO operations, systems, and organizational effectiveness Serve as a key interface between R&D and Corporate functions including Finance, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and IT Represent the PMO in executive governance councils, steering committees, and investment forums Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights that inform strategic decision-making

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in program or portfolio management, preferably within R&D in a regulated industry
  • Proven experience leading PMO organizations or large-scale transformation initiatives
  • Strong strategic planning, governance, and cross-functional leadership capabilities
  • Advanced proficiency in PPM tools (Planisware Lumos or similar), PowerBI, and Excel
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience supporting AOPs and forecasting
  • Deep understanding of regulatory, quality, and compliance requirements in medical devices

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree (MBA or related discipline)
  • PMP, PgMP, or PfMP certification
  • Experience in global portfolio management and process optimization
