About The Position

Noah's Ark was established in June 2003 to meet the needs of Christian childcare in the community and outlying areas. We are a state-licensed not-for-profit religious organization. Our open-door policy welcomes all to our nondenominational center, seeking a loving and caring childcare setting. Noah's Ark is licensed for 50 children and may enroll children anytime throughout the year as spots are available. We offer programs for children from 4 weeks through 12 years.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Current state teaching certification or equivalent credentials.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a childcare or educational setting.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with curriculum development and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging educational programs for children aged 4 weeks to 12 years.
  • Ensure adherence to state licensing requirements and organizational policies.
  • Lead a team of assistant teachers and provide ongoing mentorship and training.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on child progress and developmental milestones.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of all children.
  • Evaluate and assess children's development through observation and documentation.
  • Organize and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote learning and growth.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and community events as required.
  • Ensure effective classroom management and uphold discipline policies that align with the organization's values.
