About The Position

This position will provide evaluation support to various programs and rural health grant-funded initiatives within the Center for Rural Health. The position will be responsible for working with principal investigators and program leads to develop evaluation plans and meaningful evaluation measures, designing survey and other evaluation instruments, assisting with the collection of data, implementing proposed evaluation plans, supporting the creation of evaluation plans in proposals, and assisting with writing/disseminating evaluation results. Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Proficient in statistical software programs (SPSS, SAS or similar)
Specialized knowledge in applied research methods (can include coursework, internships, work experience, trainings, other applicable experiences).
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Knowledge of rural health issues, policy, health systems, rural community dynamics.
Ability to connect resources and empower others.
Ability to effectively network and build relationships with key experts and stakeholders, including representatives of government organizations and state and national organizations.
Experience participating in large and small group meetings, in person and by video-conferencing.
Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to be self-directed.
High level of attention-to-detail and the ability to generate timely work products.
Strong report writing skills.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, take initiative, and to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Must be willing to travel to national, regional, or local events/meetings.
Master's degree in a relevant health or data-related field.
2 years of work experience in project evaluation.
Successful completion of Criminal History Background Check.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement evaluation plans.
Serve as primary point of contact for evaluation activities at the Center for Rural Health.
Design and implement evaluation plans in collaboration with project staff.
Provide assistance to program leads and staff on evaluation methods, evaluation plans, data collection instruments, evaluation analysis, and writing reports.
Work with project leads to review grant guidance and provide direction on meaningful evaluation plans for grant proposals.
Conduct interviews, focus groups, and surveys with program participants, staff, and other stakeholders.
Develop recommendations for program improvement based on evaluation findings.
Oversee development and execution of evaluations for contracts.
As evaluation activities grow, supervise other evaluation staff within the Center for Rural Health.
Prepare evaluation reports.
Conduct and/or support data collection and report writing.
Assist in the development of data gathering tools and reporting templates.
Collect and analyze data for process and impact evaluation reports.
Write evaluation reports as required by funders.
Disseminate results.
Communicate findings to internal and external audiences.
Present evaluation results to relevant partners, stakeholders, and funders.
Submit results to be presented at local, state, regional, or national conferences as relevant.
Publish evaluation processes and results as appropriate to both increase the reputation of the Center for Rural Health and the programs being evaluated.
Participate in professional activities.
Participate in Center for Rural Health meetings.
Develop and manage special projects and other job-related duties, as assigned.
Participate on committees, make presentations, and publish appropriate research or accomplishments, as assigned.
Keep current on the latest developments in the field and areas of interest related to your position, through reading and other communications.
Contribute to the advancement of the profession and status of the Center for Rural Health at the University of North Dakota.
