Summary The Program Developer provides direct supports to the individuals served by the agency and is responsible for ensuring a team of Program Specialists successful implement agency policies and procedures by qualified, knowledgeable staff. Demonstrates and practices New Avenues values. Responsible to promptly report to supervisor any circumstances that negatively affect the health, safety, or well-being of clients, staff, the agency or its property and equipment.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • High School diploma/GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience with individuals with IDD.
  • Minimum one year of supervision experience.
  • A desire to assist people with their growth and success.
  • An ability to stay organized while managing multiple tasks.
  • A valid Ohio driver’s license with 4 points or less on the individuals BMV driving record
  • Current Auto Insurance

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Health and Welfare of individuals served through direct services provided and on-site training.
  • Maintain knowledge of OISP, BSP, and other service delivery techniques & ensure all Program Specialists and Direct Support Professionals are trained in these areas.
  • Ensure timely completion of all Program Developer’s deadlines and staff accountability, including: • Solana/Setworks/Paylocity • Electronic personal organization tools • Monthly Med QA’s • Maintaining and updates of site schedule • Disciplinary actions
  • Maintain effective relationships with team members to ensure the following: • Effective training and evaluation of Program Specialist’s job performance. • The implementation of services including at the correct staffing ratios and site hours per CPT. • The Health and Welfare of the individuals served. • Assumes fiscal responsibility for monitoring and controlling overtime as well as compliance with house budgets and individual client finances. • Attends all ISP meetings ensuring CPT and the individual budget for each person is coordinated and meets the needs of the individual and the agency • Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training all new staff assigned to sites.
  • On call responsibilities including maintaining appropriate staffing, being available to work direct shifts as needed, and maintaining timely communication with all team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.
