About The Position

Seattle University is seeking a Program Coordinator to help manage all aspects of the Matteo Ricci Concurrent Enrollment Program, in close coordination with the Director. The position also supports selected additional programs housed in the Center for Catholic Education. The Concurrent Enrollment (CE) Program is a specialized educational program providing college-level courses in local Catholic high schools. The CE Program has four current high school partners serving over 300 unique students with course offerings in the humanities, creative writing, mathematics, theology and modern languages. Currently, eight university Faculty Liaisons work with 19 high school Affiliate Faculty to provide the courses. The program aspires not only to provide high quality university-level courses to registered students, but it also seeks to attract these students to consider Seattle University as their college of choice. The CE Program seeks to grow in both partner schools and student registrants in the coming years. It also pursues additional opportunities, such as the asynchronous course on Global Citizenship currently in its second round as a pilot with selected Jesuit high schools across the country. The Concurrent Enrollment Program is housed in the Matteo Ricci Center for Catholic Education, a new unit that unifies and strengthens Seattle University’s engagement with and commitment to PK-12 Catholic education. The Center for Catholic Education hosts both Concurrent Enrollment as well as the Catholic Schools Teacher Corps (CSTC), a program focusing on teacher formation. Additional programs or initiatives may be developed in the center, to expand its engagement and impact. Also attached to the Center is the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit honor society, which recognizes outstanding Seattle University students who express Jesuit values. Another signature program, the Sullivan Scholars Program, also will be linked to the Center.
