About The Position

The Program Coordinator is key to the success of the local chapter and will report to the Chapter Executive Director, Program Director, or Program Manager. Duties include, but are not limited to, planning and executing Chapter programs, family and volunteer recruitment, enrollment and engagement, tracking and reporting event and engagement outcomes. ABOUT A KID AGAIN A Kid Again fosters hope, happiness, and healing for kids with life-threatening conditions and their families. We do this through our Adventures – cost-free, care-free visits to amusement parks, sporting events, museums, holiday parties, and much more. We are condition agnostic – any child, birth to age 20, with a life-threatening condition can enroll for free with A Kid Again. And we serve their whole family including their parents and siblings, so that they can all take a time out from illness.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience securing gifts-in-kind a plus.
  • Experience in program/event creation and implementation preferred
  • Working knowledge and experience in Raiser’s Edge/Blackbaud (or other donor database), Microsoft Office, and other programs such as Classy, and WordPress preferred.
  • Adobe and/or Canva experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage all aspects of A Kid Again programs, called Adventures, including securing venues, activities, in-kind donations, entertainment, tickets, mailings, attendance tracking and reporting, and volunteer management.
  • Assist the Executive Director in the development of the Chapter’s Adventure budget and adhere to budget expectations and forecasting when planning Adventures.
  • Recruit, train and engage volunteers for the Chapter, holding meetings when necessary and providing regular communications.
  • Communicate with families regarding Adventures, special events, birthdays and graduations while also identifying their needs to keep them engaged. This includes sending monthly family e-newsletters and managing the family Facebook group.
  • With guidance for chapter leadership, build and maintain relationships with hospitals and other organizations for referrals of families.
  • Assist in other aspects of Chapter operations as assigned by the chapter lead. This includes some database management as it pertains to family information and enrollment.
