About The Position

This position is responsible for: The Emergency Beds Services Coordinator is responsible for the intake process, bed assignment, orientation, case management, and daily operations of the emergency overnight beds program. This position includes assessing client needs, coordinating intake, managing bed assignments, providing case management services, and ensuring the program runs smoothly. The coordinator will also collaborate with the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department (JFRD) and work directly with individuals in crisis to meet their immediate needs while connecting them to long-term housing and support services

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Behavioral Science, or a related field, OR Three years of progressively responsible experience providing case management services, including client needs assessments and development of long-term action plans.
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • This position requires a level 2 background screening.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all referral contacts received from JFRD.
  • Explain program guidelines, policies, and procedures to clients during intake.
  • Track and update client progress in HMIS to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with external agencies and partners to support client needs.
