About The Position

Family Service League is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator for the Bay Shore Family Center program in Bay Shore. The program coordinator provides supervision and oversight of the C.A.I.R. program, which helps individuals and families in times of need by providing information, referrals and linkages to other community agencies, and tangible resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field is required.
  • At least four years of related experience required.
  • At least one year of prior supervisory experience in human services required.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office required
  • Excellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Must be a strong leader, organized and able to multi-task.
  • Valid and clean NYS Driver's License required.
  • Must own a car that is properly insured, registered and maintained to drive to various worksite locations.

Nice To Haves

  • LMSW is preferred.
  • experience with an EHR is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Program Coordinator will oversee staff, including recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and conducting supervisions and performance appraisals.
  • Train and supervise student interns.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations and activities for the CAIR department.
  • Assign cases to staff and interns.
  • Perform intakes, assessment, crisis intervention and referral services.
  • The Program Coordinator will provide oversight of all programming, special projects and large community-based initiatives.
  • Provide oversight of the emergency food pantry,
  • Establish and maintain relationship reports with funders and agencies that provide food and donations.
  • Pick up and order food donations.
  • Coordinate efforts with the Adult Care Management/Health Homes program in the Bay Shore site.
  • The Program Coordinator will interface with community agencies and be an active participant in standards of care.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations and codes of the Program.
  • Participate in agency committees.
  • Represent the agency at community events.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with all constituents.
  • All other duties as assigned.
