About The Position

The Program Coordinator of the Center for Lifelong Learning works collaboratively with the Director in fostering and providing an educational environment that promotes personal enrichment for community members of all ages. The Program Coordinator will be the primary student-facing staff member with a focus on customer service and creating a smooth working environment for the organization. Salary: $40,000 - $45,000 Rolling interviews will occur until the position is filled. Vacation Time: 5.34 each pay for first 2 years, then increases to 6.15 after 2 years. 9 Paid holidays: New Years Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth National Independence Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day. Winter recess: The College also observes an official closing of 4 standard work week days between the observed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day holidays. This is known as Winter Recess. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, and very strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work with competing timely demands.
  • Aptitude for using computer software applications and following workflows (e.g. Microsoft suite, Facebook/Instagram, Mailchimp, Canva).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations and work flexible hours, including occasional evening or weekend events.
  • Motivation to work with non-traditional students of all ages.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and to perform routine physical tasks such as standing, bending, and moving materials.

Nice To Haves

  • Outreach and public speaking experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with youth programming preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with students and colleagues on registration and payment processes. Handle any difficulties that arise and otherwise work to create as smooth an experience as possible.
  • Send class communications, including reminders/updates, schedule changes, follow-up evaluations, participation forms, and other correspondences as necessary.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of CLL programming and processes in order to troubleshoot student inquiries as needed, including but not limited to registration website user experience issues (login, navigation, etc.), general programming questions, and interdepartmental matters.
  • Monitor and assist with social media presence, email newsletters, public inquiries, and support marketing efforts as needed.
  • Assist with youth programming operations as needed, including sign-in/sign-out processes, providing logistical support for instructors, and contributing to staff recruitment for summer camps.
  • Maintain shared drives and organizational platforms, including collection and documentation of records, email lists, programming media, and marketing materials.
  • Assist with supplies purchasing, preparation, room set-up, and class kick-offs for adult and youth programs as needed.
  • Help monitor and organize CLL supplies inventory.
  • Participate in community service, service learning, and civic engagement projects and activities as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned, consistent with commonly accepted practices.
