GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: The Met seeks a dynamic person to join the Public Programs team within the Education Department. As a Program Coordinator, you will support programs that connect adult museum visitors with creativity, knowledge, and ideas. You will support planning and logistics for talks that take place in the museum’s auditorium, lecture hall, and galleries, large-scale cultural convenings, and activities in the galleries and classrooms for general and academic audiences. As the liaison for a high volume of education activities, you are a key communicator, identify solutions, and implement tools and processes that increase efficiency and effectiveness. TYou will work collaboratively with colleagues throughout the Education Department and the Museum, as well as a range of external speakers. Some evening and weekend work hours required.
