About The Position

The Program Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Director of Access and plays a central role in the coordination and management of patient operations and scheduling within the Medical Oncology clinic. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the scheduling and scheduling coordination, ensuring efficient workflows, accurate data management, and seamless communication across internal departments. The Program Coordinator serves as a key liaison for existing patients through appointment scheduling.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Plus 4 years of administrative or program coordination experience, or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • Both verbal and written communications
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 - 4 years of administrative or program coordination experience
  • Epic experience

Responsibilities

  • Obtaining and organizing outside medical records, pathology slides, and radiology imaging; verifying insurance coverage.
  • Working with scheduling and scheduling complex appointments into systems such as EPIC.
  • Maintaining the accuracy and security of patient records, ensuring correct scheduling.
  • Assists in first visit logistics to several other clinics.
  • Educates prospective patients and families about the Medical Oncology services and expectations, contributing to a patient-centered experience.
  • Supports the development and monitoring of program goals and objectives.
  • Requires a high level of organizational skill, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
  • Works closely with clinical teams, administrative staff, and external institutions to ensure a high standard of care and service delivery for all new Myeloma patients.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
