Osborne is seeking a full-time, dynamic Program Coordinator to join our Community Justice Reentry Network (Jails to Jobs) team. The Program Coordinator will support the oversight of program service delivery and implementation, ensuring compliance and quality standards. Reporting to the J2J Deputy Director, this role collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders to support effective and efficient service delivery. This position will report out of our Brooklyn office. This position will require travel to work on-site at Rikers Island approximately 1–2 times per week, or as needed to support program operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of experience providing vocational, medical, mental health, or substance abuse-focused care coordination services for individuals.
  • Two years of progressively responsible program management and supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system.
  • Ability to analyze and integrate information independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, pay strong attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results.
  • Competence in the criminal justice system and providing services to participants.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, ECM/Salesforce.
  • Ability to travel locally.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance by the New York City Department of Correction
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and build strong relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support outreach initiatives within the community and city jails to raise awareness of program services and drive participant recruitment.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training for program staff to strengthen their understanding of best practices and ensure effective implementation of program services.
  • Coordinate case conferences to support participant progress and strengthen overall program performance.
  • Assist with and oversee the distribution of goods to clients as needed.
  • Provide regular supervision to assigned direct reports to promote professional growth and development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate client referrals and access additional support services.
  • Conduct soft audits while overseeing data entry and data collection to ensure accuracy, consistency, and program compliance.
  • Coordinate staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage in the office and at Riker's.
  • Employ Osborne database tools to accurately document records and enter contact notes within the timelines set by program management.
  • This position requires clearance by the New York City Department of Correction. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain Department of Correction (DOC) clearance to work on Rikers Island and/or other applicable facilities operated by the Department of Correction.
  • Attend assigned training.
  • In-person collaboration is an essential function of the job.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
