The primary purpose of this position is to a) provide coordination functions critical to the Division’s oversight role, serving as a key coordination point and main program contact for the Division’s audit and compliance processes, and b) manage the logistics of two annual training conferences. This position tracks statutory compliance by local governments and monitors disciplinary actions against audit firms and findings issued by the Office of the State Auditor. It tracks, processes, and categorizes the receipt of audits, updates tracking database, and initiates and monitors the workflow for each audit once reviewed by staff of the Fiscal Management Section. This position finalizes written communication as directed by management and disburses correspondence as appropriate. This position also processes, monitors and initiates the workflow of other documents submitted through the portal as appropriate. This position is responsible for maintaining key datasets related to audit firm services to local government units statewide, maintaining datasets for Register of Deeds reports, and compiling data for various reports. The position also assists in a variety of administrative activities, including answering the phone.
