Program Coordinator I - Food Security
About The Position
Coordinate and assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Food Security program to ensure that it meets the needs of patients and families. Manages day-to-day operations of food pantry and other initiatives. Assists with outreach to community partners in this work. SERIES CONCEPT: A program is a specialized area with specific complex components and discrete tasks which distinguish it from the main body of the organization. A program is specific to a particular subject. The specialized tasks involve interpretation of policies, procedures and regulations, independent functioning, and public contact. Duties are not of a general support nature easily transferable from one program to another. Performance of administrative/clerical duties is in support of the incumbent's performance of specific programmatic tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible experience in administration, customer service, health education, inventory management, or related area in a hospital/research setting.
- Food and Beverage Handler's Permit.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Social Work, Health Education, Public Health, or related field.
- Experience in community outreach, inventory management, volunteer supervision, and/or continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of cultural competency, health disparities, and social determinants of health.
- Experience with program development and subsequent coordination of resources and services.
