About The Position

Coordinate and assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Food Security program to ensure that it meets the needs of patients and families. Manages day-to-day operations of food pantry and other initiatives. Assists with outreach to community partners in this work. SERIES CONCEPT: A program is a specialized area with specific complex components and discrete tasks which distinguish it from the main body of the organization. A program is specific to a particular subject. The specialized tasks involve interpretation of policies, procedures and regulations, independent functioning, and public contact. Duties are not of a general support nature easily transferable from one program to another. Performance of administrative/clerical duties is in support of the incumbent's performance of specific programmatic tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible experience in administration, customer service, health education, inventory management, or related area in a hospital/research setting.
  • Food and Beverage Handler's Permit.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Social Work, Health Education, Public Health, or related field.
  • Experience in community outreach, inventory management, volunteer supervision, and/or continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of cultural competency, health disparities, and social determinants of health.
  • Experience with program development and subsequent coordination of resources and services.
