About Opp Project, LLC Opp Project, LLC, the citywide intermediary for expanded learning, is dedicated to connecting youth to the world of opportunity. By linking schools, programs, community agencies, the private sector, volunteers, and local youth and families, the Opp Project seeks to improve the quality, access, and delivery of expanded- learning opportunities for young Tulsans. Organizing the landscape of teachers, educators, youth workers and community stakeholders, Opp Project: works to make learning experiences more cohesive between in-school and out-of-school. advocates for the power of expanded learning opportunities helps promote high quality experiences to provide a pathway for children and youth to succeed. POSITION SUMMARY The Program Associate plays a critical role in supporting the design, coordination, and continuous improvement of youth-centered expanded learning programming across Tulsa. Reporting to the Program Manager and working closely with the Expanded Learning Team, this role supports day-to-day program operations, partner engagement, and quality improvement efforts across school-year and summer programming. This is a highly collaborative, execution-oriented role ideal for someone who is detail-driven, relationship-oriented, and excited to grow within Tulsa’s expanded learning and youth development field.

Requirements

  • Excitement about the Opp Project’s mission and vision
  • Comfortable building relationships with educators, youth workers, and community partners
  • Previous experience in education, youth development, nonprofit, or community-based settings
  • Curious, reflective, and interested in learning about program quality and youth development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with care
  • Ability to build rapport with individuals from a wide variety of cultures, experiences, and backgrounds
  • Commitment to care, attention to detail, and an ability to demonstrate beginning to end thinking on projects of all sizes
  • Reliable local transportation required for offsite visits, site observations, and partner meetings.
  • Some travel will be required, including potential overnight travel.
  • Must have the ability to work weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and implementation of expanded learning programs across elementary, middle, and high school sites
  • Serve as a point of contact for school-based staff, educators, and community partners related to assigned programs
  • Assist with onboarding, communication, and ongoing support for program partners and club leaders
  • Support logistics for afterschool, summer, and enrichment programming (scheduling, materials, communications, site needs)
  • Conduct site visits to observe programming, build relationships, and support strong youth experiences
  • Collaborate with team members to problem-solve program challenges and respond to partner needs
  • Support youth-centered events, showcases, orientations, and convenings as needed
  • Assisting with implementation of quality standards grounded in positive youth development and social-emotional learning
  • Supporting continuous improvement cycles by gathering feedback from youth, educators, and partners
  • Participating in program observations and helping document strengths, needs, and opportunities for growth
  • Supporting peer learning cohorts, trainings, and communities of practice through logistics, materials, and follow-up
  • Collaborating with team members to refine tools, resources, and processes that improve program delivery
  • Helping ensure fidelity to Opp Project’s values, expectations, and quality benchmarks
  • Assist with basic data collection, entry, and verification related to program participation and attendance
  • Support survey administration and collection of feedback from partners and participants
  • Help maintain organized program records, trackers, and documentation
  • Provide general administrative and programmatic support to the Expanded Learning Team as needed
  • Contribute to internal communication and coordination across projects
