About The Position

The Program Associate provides a variety of routine clerical functions within a behavioral health outpatient office setting. Scheduled Hours: Work hours will vary to include some evening and Saturday hours; Hours of operation will vary based on clinic location.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and 1yr of general office or administrative experience

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assisting experience/background preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a medical/behavioral health setting.
  • Outgoing, engaging, and personable communication skills.
  • Experience working in a medical or behavioral health office.
  • Excellent computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Works in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking, excellent customer service & interpersonal skills to greet clients & visitors promptly and courteously.
  • Answering phones
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Verifying insurance and collecting copays
  • Data entry
  • Scanning/downloading info into the ECR.
  • Handling client questions and concerns
  • Attends agency meetings and completes required trainings.
  • Checks vital signs
  • Obtains prior authorization for medical services or medications
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • May be required to travel to other locations as needed
