About The Position

- The Program Assistant I at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER will support the efficient operation of programs by providing administrative and clerical assistance. This role is integral to ensuring that program activities are executed smoothly and align with the organization's mission to deliver exceptional behavioral health services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an administrative or program support role, preferably within a behavioral health or social services setting.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural sensitivity in a professional environment.
  • Previous experience in data entry and managing confidential information is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, staff, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with database management systems.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work-related tasks.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of program activities and initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively with program participants, staff, and external partners to facilitate program operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for program evaluations and meetings.
  • Support the development and distribution of program materials and communications.
  • Perform general office duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, and managing correspondence.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures in all program activities.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
