About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to provide support of programmatic initiatives that are overseen by the Director of Human Resources that impact the Department of Transportation from an HR perspective. Through analysis and collaboration, the subject position will identify trends within diverse and related data sets to assist the Director in identifying areas for programmatic improvements and implementation of creative solutions. This position will also convene and participate in various work group meetings. Ensure that work group goals and activities are in sync with the HR Director's strategic goals and objectives; and the execution of responsibilities are in compliance with state and federal HR rules and regulations. Position will also provide programmatic review and monitoring for several HR functions within the Division. Responsible for any special projects that have a departmental-wide impact. Position will lead the project as well as delegate work when appropriate to work group members. Provide oversight for work teams which could include staff from the other HR divisions within the Division of Human Resources and other DOT business partners. This position may require some in and out of state travel (overnight) and occasionally, the job could require working past normal work hours and/ or weekends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five (5) years of progressive experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
