Chenega Government Mission Solutions, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Program Analyst II to support the Clinical and Environmental Microbiology Branch (CEMB). CEMB is a large laboratory branch which is home to The National Reference Lab, comprised of several teams (the Antimicrobial Resistance and Characterization Laboratory (ARCL), the Antimicrobial Resistance (AR) Bank, the Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance team, and part of our Office of Laboratory Strategies and Analytics) and several Applied Environmental Labs (the Healthcare Environment Applied Research Team, Biofilm and Microbial Control team, and our Outbreak Response Lab. This position shall provide administrative and financial resource management services for CEMB in the areas of fiscal and project monitoring.   • Manage, process, and track Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs) and related documentation.
  • Develop and update spreadsheets and databases to monitor technology transfer agreements, inter/intra-agency agreements, and other program-related contracts.
  • Review project contracts, track milestones, and follow up on required paperwork, approvals, and timelines.
  • Provide tracking records and status updates to project leads and senior staff.
  • Create, verify, track, and process isolate shipments and maintain accurate customer order records.
  • Assist with aliquot inventory management and support the shipping schedule.
  • Monitor workflow movement and identify barriers or delays affecting turnaround times.
  • Maintain program records to ensure accuracy and compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Develop, process, and track a variety of records, logs, and reports.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze data from multiple sources to develop recommendations and support decision-making.
  • Prepare quarterly reports for QMS, FDA, and internal stakeholders.
  • Respond to data calls from managers, divisions, or centers including: software license requests, funding needs, training compliance, awards, staff listings, and other record/report requests.
  • Organize and maintain repositories of program resources such as meeting minutes, reports, spreadsheets, and web pages.
  • Communicate daily with customers via phone and/or email; manage communication logs and track customer claims.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries in the program inbox; ensure timely follow-up and documentation.
  • Maintain Outlook calendars; schedule and coordinate meetings with internal staff and external partners (including FDA).
  • Track action items, maintain task lists, and provide deadline reminders to program staff.
  • Support transparency by communicating operational issues, system needs, and progress toward goals with team members.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance customer experience and reduce response times.
  • Maintain inventory of program website issues; communicate updates and needs to technical or contract support teams.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new releases, bug fixes, and system enhancements.
  • Support ongoing modernization efforts of the AR Isolate Bank website and contribute to website-related project planning.
  • Itemize and track progress toward web-related operational goals.
  • Monitor office supply inventory and equipment needs; process maintenance/repair requests and visitor access requests.
  • Design, develop, and maintain databases, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and other software applications.
  • Conduct searches for materials and resources required for program activities.
  • Implement project plans under the guidance of program leadership to achieve defined objectives.
  • Create forms and surveys using MS Office Forms, SurveyMonkey, or other CDC-approved tools for data collection and program inquiries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Experience supporting program operations through data collection, tracking, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including daily customer interaction.
  • Experience maintaining records, databases, and workflow documentation.
  • Ability to interpret administrative and contractual documents.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, schedules, and communications across teams.
  • Experience leading or supporting process improvement initiatives (Lean, workflow mapping, SOP redesign, etc.)
