The Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies is part of the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame, advancing integral human development through research, policy, and practice. The Institute (with its foci of Irish literature, history, language, and the arts), along with the Clingen Family Center for the Study of Modern Ireland (with its focus on policy), is dedicated to exploring what Ireland can learn from the world and what the world can learn from Ireland. Together, they foster interdisciplinary scholarship, cultivate global partnerships, and create spaces for dialogue that connect academic research to contemporary cultural and policy conversations. The Program Administrator – Research Programs at the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies plays a central role in advancing the Institute’s research mission through the thoughtful design and execution of scholarly programming. In collaboration with KNI leadership, the Program Administrator will operationalize a multi-year programming plan aligned with the Institute’s strategic priorities. This includes coordinating conferences, workshops, visiting scholar initiatives, lectures, and research convenings; managing logistics and budgets; supporting faculty-led research initiatives; and ensuring a seamless experience for domestic and international partners. Working closely with Notre Dame faculty, external research collaborators, and administrative and communications teams, the Program Administrator will also help elevate the visibility and impact of research programming through effective promotion, stakeholder engagement, and post-event assessment. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, and a commitment to fostering intellectual community across disciplines and borders.
