About The Position

Arts & Science is seeking a dedicated Program Administrator to join the Department of Chemistry. This individual will provide administrative support to the faculty, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students of the Chemical Biology Program, specifically the Chemical Biology Initiative. Develop and implement program policies and procedures in addition to administering and monitoring program purchasing transactions, prepare annual and interim reports, and analyze trends and projections. Manage and coordinate program activities, including website development and maintenance, as well as plan and organize events and workshops. Serve as a liaison to the Office of Global Services, facilitating the visa process for faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and short-term visitors and resolve problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years relevant experience or Master’s degree or equivalent combination. Must include experience with overseeing office and program activities and administering budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software, PC and MAC computers.
  • Ability to design and maintain web sites and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work with a broad spectrum of individuals (students, faculty, staff, international visitors and fellows).
