One California Job Summary and Responsibilities Position Summary: This position is responsible for assigned medical staff department and committee functions to ensure compliance with State and Federal requirements and accreditation standards. Incumbents in this position shall comply with all applicable laws and rules including the Dignity Health Standards of Conduct and Dignity Health policies and procedures that apply to his/her job responsibilities, seek guidance when in doubt, promptly report any potential or suspected violation of Dignity Health Standards of Conduct, Dignity Health policy or procedure or applicable laws/regulations and when requested, assist Dignity Health personnel in investigating all allegations of violation. When called upon, the incumbent shall assist in risk evaluation and work collaboratively with facility/entity leaders to implement, monitor and mitigate risk corrective plans outlined by the Compliance program. Ensures a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously. Refers to each individual by name when appropriate. Screens individuals by requesting to see identification or visitor pass. Attends, as assigned, Medical Staff committees and department meetings; takes accurate minutes and composes them within 36 hours of meeting. Coordinates agenda with committee/department chair. Processes hospital verification letters on a weekly basis Responsible for other clerical functions as assigned Fosters a cooperative effort in meeting the goals of the team and sharing the workload. Communicates a positive and caring attitude toward the unit, peers, staff, patients, and other contacts.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • High School Diploma, upon hire or High School GED, upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years experience in aHealthcare setting with Medical Staff Office. To includeadministrative support experience i.e. meeting management/coordination,minutes and calendaring., upon hire
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist, upon hire
