About The Position

The Professional Services Specialist plays a critical role in our organization. The mission of the role is to provide guidance and insight into the configuration, delivery, and training of our product throughout the project life cycle. In addition, they are responsible for making sure our customers are utilizing DockMaster software to its full potential through the creation of product documentation, training videos and live webinars, and assisting with quality assurance testing. Here is a little window into our company: DockMaster is the leading provider of innovative marina software solutions, dedicated to equipping our customers with tools that streamline operations and improve operational efficiency while driving revenue growth. The DockMaster financial management platform allows customers to manage their service jobs, inventories, sales, and storage/dockage agreements with full enterprise-level General Ledger functionality. Our largest customer concentration is in North America, but we are quickly expanding to have a global presence. The successful candidate will be based anywhere in the US, working in a remote work model with an expectation of travelling to see clients across North America up to 50% of the time!

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ proven experience in Project Management, Software Implementation, or Training of DockMaster Software or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience in the Marine Industry, Boatyard Administration or Marina experience – preferably using DockMaster Software
  • Technical proficiency with business management software, CRM systems, and database management
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting methodology in AR, AP, and General Ledger
  • Experience with SQL, data analysis tools, and data formatting
  • Experience with jBASE
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with new software updates regularly
  • Self-starter mentality. Your instinct is to figure out what is next and move with or without explicit direction
  • Highly organized and can prioritize when required to balance multiple clients and business needs
  • Flexible, easily adaptable to change
  • Excellent communication, presentation and training abilities, including active listening skills, to a wide variety of audiences
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential
  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • Ability to Travel 50% of the time
  • Applicants must be located within 2 hours of a major airport or 1 hour of a connecting airport
  • Travel arrangements may be made with short notice, and the person in this position should be able to cover daily travel expenses to be reimbursed
  • A valid passport, driver's license, and the ability to rent a vehicle are required

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth needs assessments to understand each client’s unique business processes and requirements
  • Develop and execute customized implementation plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
  • Configure and customize DockMaster software solutions to fit client needs, including data migration and system integration
  • Create high-quality presentation assets and facilitate comprehensive training for internal employees and external audiences across in-person and virtual formats
  • Work closely with the sales, support, and development teams to provide feedback and insights into customer satisfaction initiatives
  • Manage and create training classes, tutorials, and implementation documentation
  • Conduct online and in-person client training and fact-finding sessions
  • Stay up to date with all aspects of the Dockmaster software and assist with quality assurance testing
  • Manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously, maintaining clear communication and exceptional service standards
  • Offer ongoing support to client’s post-implementation, addressing any issues and promoting the adoption of new features and updates
