About The Position

The Professional Practice Business Partner (PPBP) has the overall responsibility to serve as the interface with assigned regional defined service area for the purpose of collaboration with the enterprise Professional Practice Services and oversee the assigned functions of the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA ).
  • Five years clinical experience, two years of experience in health care quality and/or administration.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the business relationship link between the regional facility and senior leadership of the Professional Practice Services department.
  • Delivers highly valued strategic level support and guidance through key Professional Practice initiatives.
  • Provides oversight and advisory responsibilities to the regional functions of provider services to include credentialing, verification, privileging, and peer review processes; focused and ongoing professional practice evaluation; and support of medical staff and allied health professional staff governance functions.
  • Responsible for regional functions of implementation of Sanford privileging guidelines; assessment of eligibility criteria of providers requesting clinical privileges; facilitation of provider peer review to include ongoing and focused professional practice evaluation in collaboration with the enterprise peer review manager and coordinators.
  • Provides regular communication, updates, and recommendations to regional clinical and operational leadership.
  • Leads various group sessions and provides direct assistance and leadership to each specialty area.
  • Serves as the liaison and facilitator of Medical Staff governance responsibilities and clinic operations to include development, review and revision of medical staff documents and committee integration and communication.
  • Manages the development and review of Bylaws and supporting policies and facilitation of committee proceedings of the organized medical and professional staff
  • Accountable to develop programmatic planning and project coordination to achieve the strategic goals of Sanford's professional practice initiatives pertaining to medical staff services.
  • Create and analyze relevant information to develop Professional Practice recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Central Verification Services/Central Verification Office, and Professional Practice senior management to develop strategic initiatives of the department.
