About The Position

The Professional Development Coordinator is responsible for the development of, updates to and coordination of the clinical policies, procedures and guidelines. The policies, procedures and guidelines direct conduct and behavioral expectations across lines of business and promote consistency and efficiency; provision of safe, quality care, and treatment and services in accordance with the organization’s mission, vision, values and goals. In addition, the Coordinator will assist the Professional Development Program with Relias LMS and the Student Affiliation Programs. POSITION DETAILS: Work Location: 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL. No work from home at this time. Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm; 40 hours a week Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 hour base salary; plus full benefits package including 23 days annual PTO

Requirements

  • Current State of Florida driver’s license with driving record acceptable to Community Hospice insurance carrier.
  • Any combination of education and/or experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable.
  • Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Principles and practices of nursing, and hospice care
  • Basic State and Hospice Medicare/Medicaid regulations

Responsibilities

  • Work with the interdisciplinary clinicians to recognize process improvements needed as determined by the Manager, Professional Development Program and the service line Directors.
  • Researches current industry standards, conditions of participation, legislation, industry and community standards and evidence-based practices and keep committee members abreast of changes.
  • Meets with policy owners and collaboratively develops, reviews, revises and approves clinical policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Coordinates and maintains bi-monthly scheduling of policy review and revision in preparation for the Clinical Policy Work Group meetings.
  • Develops the Clinical Policy Work Group’s meeting agenda and leads the meeting.
  • Provides minutes of the meeting.
  • Assists in the dissemination of policy and procedure updates across clinical hospice services.
  • Assists in the development of standardized forms and procedural guidelines for clinical hospice services.
  • Collaborates with Quality and Compliance on the approved platform for organizational policies.
  • Assists as administrator level user in Relias, LMS.
  • Assists in the administration of the Student Affiliation Program.
  • Assists Infection Control Nurse with NEO, NEO/staff termination Excel charts.
  • Other duties as needed to support the Professional Development Programs.
