About The Position

The Production Tracking Fellow will support MassCEC’s Production Management Department. MassCEC's Production Management Department supports the state’s leading incentive programs to promote clean energy, including solar, renewable thermal energy, and clean peak resources. The Fellow will work with staff and various market participants: the Department of Energy Resources, homeowners, production reporters, installers, aggregators, etc., to understand and facilitate these production-based incentive programs, assisting in the day-to-day operations and ensuring data quality in the Production Tracking System (PTS). The fellowship program at MassCEC includes various educational and networking opportunities, including: In depth overview presentations from division heads Lunch-time Tech Talks and Brown Bag Presentations Resume development meetings Guided tour of the Wind Technology Testing Center Other industry related events

Requirements

  • The candidate will be a college undergraduate (sophomore or higher) or graduate student, preferably majoring in science, environmental studies, business administration, or public policy.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (recommended)
  • Customer service experience (preferred)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Effective recordkeeping and organizational skills
  • Familiarity or interest in clean energy issues
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and software applications
  • Detail and process-oriented
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to document findings in memos or presentations
  • Strong work ethic and collaborative attitude

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to system owners, production reporters, and other participants of the PTS-supported programs
  • Assist with monthly production reporting demands, such as entering meter readings and system data corrections
  • Work with staff to maintain an operational flow of PV applications, including managing quality control of application documentation
  • Update system and user information in the PTS to maintain data accuracy and quality
  • Analyze project data, update databases, identify industry trends, develop data visualizations (example: graphs, charts, tables), and draft memos and presentations to summarize findings
  • Support outreach and education efforts such as marketing materials, events, and conferences
