About The Position

In this role, you will report to Supervisor, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will: Perform daily review of chemical inventory and timely resolution of chemical inventory, planning and supply chain issues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service
  • Knowledge of Information intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs

  • Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances.
  • Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can do attitude.
  • Travel may be required from building to building.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and reconciles chemical inventory in all labs annually.
  • Reconciles the chemical materials of each lab and ensures accuracy of chemicals in database.
  • Performs and reconciles routine cycle counts.
  • Communicates with suppliers as the need arises for proof of delivery.
  • Reviews and reconciles expiry date issues, duplicate shipments, shipment overages, wrong good received, and no charge replacements.
  • Works with material purchasing to optimize inventory investment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
